Which FPS character are you?

On Saturday, I went to play LAN with a bunch of friends. 5 on 5 Call of Duty 2, capture the flag mode – great fun. I’ve come to realise that there are several “characters” you can choose to “be” in first-person shooters:

  • The Sniper – you carry a sniper rifle around and as soon as you see someone you quickly switch to scope-view and perform a nice clean headshot. Technically, you are probably the best character (as well as the coolest)
  • The Camper – You are the most hated character – you play dirty, just sitting there behind a corner and waiting for people to rush by before you get a barrage of abuse for your cheap out-of-nowhere kill (see below: The Shouter)
  • The Rambo – You are a one-man army/loner and tend to rush in with a heavy-duty machine gun, taking hits but bringing down enemies as you sacrifice yourself for the team whilst letting out a slant-lipped blood-curdling scream of “AHHHHH!!”
  • The Smart Guy – You lead the others and shout out tactical instructions/formations/unnecessary nonsense (which The Rambo will not listen to). If you die your team is finished
  • The Back-up dude – You mainly give your teammates covering fire and accompany others (usually the Smart Guy or the Rambo) because you have liked partnerships ever since watching your first John Woo movie
  • The Coward – You are a bit like the camper, only not as smart. You tend to panic and fumble around with the controls when you see an enemy, and before you can get a shot in you have already been knifed – Admit it: we have all been a Coward at some stage
  • The Shouter – your gameplan is pretty general, but you enjoy spending time shouting at others, e.g. “F***in Camper!!” or “Thats Bullshit!”
  •

I would be a hybrid of the Rambo/Shouter characters. Which character are you?
